Meet Angie

Angie Klein Art Headshot

If you’re curious about what art might look like from a small town southerner, you’ve stopped at the right place. As my Mema would say, pull up a rocking chair, let me grab you a sweet tea and sit a spell. Growing up in Plant City, Fl. was the perfect place to cultivate my love of art. Surrounded by the sweet smell of endless orange blossoms, rows of ripe strawberries waiting to be picked and the electricity that filled the air during those seasons made me crave a way to capture those memories. Art, I found, was a way to do that. My art is just acrylic snapshots, scenes on canvas from my favorite childhood memories.

I’m a woman of Faith, blessed wife and mother and lucky enough to say I’ve had the same crazy gaggle of girlfriends since the 6th grade. They’ll tell you that anything I’m involved in can quickly turn into a Lucille Ball episode, especially while painting, so let’s just say... it keeps things interesting. I can be found in most any venue from Mass to my favorite brewery with paint on my hair and on my clothes, that’s just the way it is. I immerse myself into each painting and pray that bits of my faith and heart show up in each one.

Although new to the art scene, I’ve been painting murals for over 20 years. Recently I found that creating on canvas can be just as exciting and let’s face it...safer for us Lucille Ball types. As an emerging artist, I’m quickly learning the ropes of the big art show scene and am so proud to say that I’ve been accepted into 3 juried art shows to date. It makes me so proud to represent my hometown of Plant City, Fl. in these events. So, enough about me, please do sip on that sweet tea (add some kick if you need to, I won’t tell) and enjoy looking at my latest creations.
